The top piece looks like Its metal, but is plastic instead. The razor itself is feather weight &#; I mean doesn&#;t feel like you&#;re holding anything. I am not sure where to buy the replacement heads either &#; where double edged safety blades are available everywhere. Personally, I think this is more like a disposable razor. It does shave well &#; I got a close shave. The head is small, so it&#;s easy to get in tighter places too. So, even though it shaves well, I am not sure I would take it over a double edged safety razor or a more commonly available disposable razor.
