Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)
Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)
We manufacture Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF) at our state-of-the-art plant in Gajraula, U.P., India. Polypropylene staple fibre is used to manufacture air filters, water filters, and other industrial fabrics. It is also used in woven carpets, nonwoven carpets, upholstery, carpet backing, and more.
Polypropylene staple fibres offer superior features due to their low specific gravity, which results in better relative coverage, high dimensional stability, excellent recovery properties (elasticity and resiliency), low thermal conductivity, minimal static charge, and chemical inertness.
Although polypropylene staple fibres are generally not dyeable, we can produce coloured polypropylene staple fibre using dope-dyed technology. The denier range of PP Fibre we manufacture spans from 1.5D to 70 Denier.

Process of Manufacturing Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)
Polypropylene fibre is manufactured from isotactic polypropylene chips by melt spinning. Molten polymer from a manifold is metered through various spinnerets, which have multiple holes to form filaments. These filaments are solidified by air or water quenching. After the application of spin finish, they are collected in cans. The fibre is stretched several times in a chemical hot bath, relaxed, and crimped to be suitable for various spinning systems.
Usage of Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF) in Geotextile
Geotextiles are permeable fabrics which, when used in association with soil, can separate, filter, reinforce, protect, or drain. Typically made from polypropylene or polyester, geotextile fabrics come in three basic forms: woven (resembling mail bag sacking), needle-punched (resembling felt), and heat-bonded (resembling ironed felt). We have specially developed POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBER FOR NON WOVEN GEO TEXTILE with high-quality additives to impart high strength and UV properties. Higher breaking tenacity and higher breaking elongation are prerequisites for good quality geotextile.
UV Stabilised Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)
We also manufacture VIRGIN POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBER UV STABILIZED. The UV stabilisation is achieved by using high-quality HALS-based UV stabilisers in desirable proportions to meet both Indian and global standards.

Applications of Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)
Applications include spinning yarns, filter fabrics, geotextile, automobile floor carpet, thermal-bonded fabrics, insulation, carpet, filter fabrics, felts, nonwoven carpet, and building construction RCC. Polypropylene staple fibre (PPSF) is also available in short-cut length for RCC building construction and making cement sheets, tiles, and hume pipes. This enhances the strength of the cement/RCC. Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is Portland Cement concrete reinforced with thousands of small fibres randomly distributed during mixing, improving concrete properties in all directions. Normally, 0.5% to 1% of polypropylene fibres are used in concrete. Natural white polypropylene fibres, typically 3 and 6 deniers and lengths of 6, 12, and 20 mm respectively, are commonly used in various applications.
Polypropylene Staple Fiber for Nonwoven
Polypropylene fiber, a synthetic fiber formed from a polypropylene melt, generally offers superior elasticity and resiliency compared to polyamide fibers but has lower wear resistance. It has good heat-insulating properties and is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. Polypropylene fiber (PP Fiber) is made through melt spinning, drawing, curling, heat setting, and cutting processes.
PP fiber performance highlights:
- Superior moisture conductivity and quick drying
- Good carding and spinning performance
- Capability to produce soft, moderately tough fabrics that are lightweight, provide good warmth retention, and feel delicate and comfortable
- Resistance to acid and alkali
- Fast melting, good filling and sound insulation performance
We mainly produce PP fibers and polyester fibers with specifications ranging from 1.5D to 200D and lengths from 5-150mm. Our products come in a variety of colors such as white, sky blue, bright red, yellow, black, and more. Customization is available according to your samples. Various types of polypropylene fibers can be tailored to meet your needs. Our annual production capacity is 20,000 tons.
Applications include sanitary non-woven fabrics, spunlace non-woven fabrics, needle-punched carpets, electric blanket fabrics, filter fabrics, geotextiles, automotive decorative fabrics, clothing shirts, artificial fur, wool, yarn spinning, and more. We also produce functional polypropylene fibers such as flame-retardant and hydrophilic polypropylene fibers.
